I recently learned that a close friend of mine blogs as well. Technically, he's been blogging for 17 years.
When I learned this news, I was encouraged to revisit the purpose of this blog. I know for sure that the reason I want to blog is so that I can write (and learn) about things that I'm passionate for. But how can I do it effectively? **Specifically, how can I write effectively? **.
The first answer that comes to mind is to just practice effective writing. I need to practice writing my thoughts in a concise, unrestricted manner. I also need to reduce the time spent on rephrasing. I don't need things to be perfect. And I'd rather write some mistakes here than having to copy paste this to ChatGPT just to sound smarter than who I really am.
Next with practice is allowing an environment to practice. While writing this blog, I'm actually thinking about creating a way to easily post this from my metaslip note (Maybe I'll write about this awesome app someday).
Gah! I wanna wake up at 4am later to write this MetaslipFeed feature in my astro blog!
I also think practicing writing alone won't cut it. I need to consume reading materials as well. Thru reading, It'll help expand my vocabulary to find much more accurate words.
Lastly, is getting feedback. Maybe I need to get comments section setup here soon. But until then, I'm gonna have to personally share these feeds to my close friends (Janina, Earth, Froy, Paul, Sean, Dan --- pahingi feedback! hehe)
